CHI SONO LE AIVANE?

• L’ ORIGINE DEL NOME

Nell’antico dialetto locale “Aiva” significa acqua.

Le Aivane sono figure femminili mitologiche legate all’acqua.
Vengono chiamate anche Guane, Anguane, Selvatiche e Donaze.

Nelle Dolomiti si tramandano tantissime storie su di loro; in certe le Aivane appaiono come creature bellissime e benevole in altre sono brutte e diventano maligne e dispettose se contrariate.
In tutti i miti che le riguardano spesso abitano o si riuniscono vicino ai corsi d’acqua .
Esse sono custodi e maestre di antiche arti e mestieri femminili, come quelle della filature, dell’ospitalità, della medicina naturale.
All’ occhio umano raramente si presentano nella loro forma reale, quindi sono difficilmente identificabili come Aivane.

• NAME EXPLANATION

According the old local idiom,” Aiva “ means water.
The “ Aivane” are mythological feminine symbols, waternymphs.
They are identified as Guane, Anguane, Selvatiche and Donaze too.

In Dolomite district you can read lots of narrations and beliefs referred to them. Beautiful and benevolent, they become at the same time ugly, evil- minded, cheating
women when angry. Often they live or gather near rivers and creeks. They are keepers and masters of ancient feminine arts and works, such as spinning, hospitality and natural medicine. They seldom appear in the real shape, so that are hardly identified like Aivane.

It is a wide- spread belief that whoever recognize an Aivana as a human being, will be luck lifelong.

In estate c'è la possibilità di fare colazione in giardino o in terrazo, avvolti da uno splendido panorama.

• Living- room and meals
  At ground floor there is a wide living- room with fireplace, tv set, hi-fi and a little library. All services are complimentary.
  During winter time guests have their breakfast in this charming room. In summer outside, on the balcony, at the rear of the house .
  The rich continental breakfast offers home made cakes, fresh juices, Italian bread or toasts. On request, we can arrange English breakfast. Soya milk and drinks are available for people affected of milk sickness

• Due comodissime matrimoniali arredate in legno non trattato, con vista sui Monti del Sole, terrazzo, e possibilità di culla o lettino aggiuntivo.
  
• We offer accomodation in 2 wide and bright double rooms. Fir-made unpolished furniture to prevent allergy. The balcony of the bedrooms is shared. From both rooms the view of Monti del Sole is amazing.

LA MANSARDA 6 posti letto

• Una mansarda splendida, sei posti letto, tutta arredata in legno, con terrazzo indipendente , vista panoramica sui Monti del Sole.
  
  
• The third accomodation is a six total beds mansard, four single beds and a double-futon japanese style . Ideal for families and groups of friends. This rooms has its balcony with table and chairs to sit outside and enjoy panorama.

Disponiamo di 2 bagni completi in comune, noi teniamo molto all'ordine e all'igiene per questo puliamo sempre tutto accuratamente dopo il passagggio di ogni cliente, lasciamo inoltre a vostra completa diposizione un kit di detergenti disinfettanti

• The bathrooms
  Two bathrooms with sink, toilet, bidet, shower and bath-tub. We pay special attention to the cleanliness of bathrooms, as they are shared, and check them more than once a day. Additional sprays for sanitation are always available.
